Objective

David Goldman Environmental Architecture came to us to help them reinvigorate their brand and build a new website. We engineered a plan that would:

  • Attract and engage higher paying customers.
  • Highlight the beauty and environmental attributes of each project.
  • Make a great first impression at trade shows and with prospects.
  • Improve search engine rankings and user engagement.

 

 

Approach

Our team migrated the site from an aging server and gave it the technical speed boost it deserved.

From there, we got to work on designing a more intuitive user experience:

  • We simplified the menu from the three tiered dropdown to a single line navigation, emphasizing the core project areas of residential and commercial architecture.
  • We used a design that complements and supports the architectural style of the firm.
  • We added a Journal section that goes more in-depth on environmental architectural concepts and serves as a great landing page location for keyword-driven campaigns.
  • We added tracking pixels to give DGEA better insights into how users interact with the site.

 

We also made sure that their internal team could easily update the site without needing a developer. They simply add a post to the backend and it will appear in all the appropriate places on the site.

Impact

The firm is exceptionally pleased with the results:

  • The website now reflects the project variety and expertise of the firm without distracting technical floorplans.
  • The business card features a QR code which leads to a connect page on the site where visitors can connect via Instagram or download the contact card, thus bypassing the sometimes difficult handoff of contacts between different mobile OSes.
  • Visitors can easily navigate to projects that match their preference and contact the firm on every page.
  • Due to practical design and strategic SEO, traffic and engagement saw an immediate increase.
